1924 Kilgore, Cast Iron T-60 Ford Coupe with Original Spring Driver
Wonderful khaki brown cast iron T-60 Ford coupe produced by Kilgore. Comes complete with original nickel plated driver mounted onto its original spring. As the car rolls along its occupants bob forward creating the illusion of movement within the car. Although the passenger is a replacement it's great having both seat holes occupied. Everything else including the driver are all original. The paint is also all original without any touch-up. This was one of the earliest non-black Ford toy automobiles. The khaki brown color is unusual and seldom seen. The wheels are nickel plated spoke cast iron. A variation was offered in 1926 with an opening trunk. The interior underside edge has "KILGORE" in raised capital letters. The interior walls are stamped "1200" on the right and "1201" on the left. Size: 6¼" long x 2½" wide x 3½" tall. Sold: Dec. 2005
